I’ve noticed since using IE10 that when closing a tab the remaining tab will be elongated as if it is making up for the tab that has closed. I usually just bring focus back to the tab that is elongated and it will shrink/auto-size properly. Just thought this was weird and I’ll research it a bit to see if this is a known issue.

I’ve been noticing the same thing. It’s not a terrible issue but can be a distraction at times. I’ve even noticed where the remaining tab will remain elongated if my mouse stays hovered over it.
Yeah, still experience this even with IE10 released officially to Windows 7. I had also noticed it on my Windows 8 systems as well. Just a strange feature I suppose. I never did find conclusive information on this and Googling/Binging this topic is frustrating to say the least.
