Scheduled Tasks Error 0x8004130f

I received the 0x8004130F error on a 2003 Server SP2 recently after uninstalling non-needed software for the Tasks in Task Manager.
Reviewing the logfile, I see the error:

0x8004130f: No account information could be found in the Task Scheduler security database

The task is configured to run as System.  I created a new task and scheduled it to run a few minutes out just to test and it ran successfully.
After some researching, I’m being led to a few ideas…but no solution of WHY this happened.
Release Notes for Windows Server 2003 SP2;  applies, just because of SP2 but I did NOT uninstall SP2 as they indicate in the Release Notes.

Scheduled tasks

If you uninstall Windows Server 2003 SP2, scheduled tasks may subsequently fail because of the loss of administrative credentials. To verify that this issue is the cause of tasks failing, check the Task Scheduler log for error 0x8004130f.

So I reviewed a few KB articles (328773, 812925, 313111).  None of these really pointed me to the exact problem.
Quite a frustrating problem.
Then I came across this KB  308558:  How to troubleshoot scheduled tasks in Windows XP and in Windows Server 2003
I read through this and looked at the section describing steps to confirm Task Scheduler service was configured properly.
Everything was configured properly!
In the end, I just removed all the scheduled tasks and recreated them.  They now work.  Argh!
