I was trying to install Internet Explorer 10 on a Windows 7 Embedded HP Thin Client T5740 system and the installer package was throwing an error that Z:\Temp
did not have enough space (ramdisk). So, I fired up a command prompt and did a stupid set TEMP=C:\Temp
and still got the error not enough storage on Z:\Temp
.
d’oh!
I wasn’t running the EXE from the command prompt session so the environment variable wasn’t being set.
Time to go home.
Why did I know the punch line before I ended up from the RSS feed???
Hahah – it’s been a rough day with these machines. _FINALLY_ got IE10 installed. I tried like the Dickens to get Win7 + IE10 onto a 2GB flash drive. I got it down to 2.01GB. A smidge too much. Just didn’t work out and had to buy some 4GB 44 pin IDE flash modules for these.
