Received the following error when installing a program:
I got around this by running the installer as Administrator and it didn’t give me the error again. Not sure what is going on there.
Windows 8: Windows Protected Your PC (SmartScreen Filter)
I just installed Release Preview of Windows 8 and have been using it as my primary workstation. I noticed an improvement in the alerting of the SmartScreen filter.
To actually run the file, click the More Info link and then choose Run Anyway.
Disable Windows SmartScreen Filter by going to Control Panel and click on Change SmartScreen Filter on left.

Most of what you know about using a mouse and keyboard with Windows has stayed the same, especially in the desktop. Here are a few ways to use the new Windows 8 Consumer Preview features with a mouse and with keyboard shortcuts—and how to find some familiar things in new places.

Windows 8 Consumer Preview Download
Windows 8 Consumer Preview is now available for download.
Windows 8 Consumer Preview Setup will check to see if your PC can run Windows 8 Consumer Preview and select the right download. Setup also features a compatibility report and upgrade assistance. Built-in tools for creating an ISO or bootable flash drive are available for some previous versions of Windows (excluding Windows XP and earlier). You can find system requirements and additional information in the FAQand in the links on this page.
Note before you download: Windows 8 Consumer Preview is prerelease software that may be substantially modified before it’s commercially released. Microsoft makes no warranties, express or implied, with respect to the information provided here. Some product features and functionality may require additional hardware or software. If you decide to go back to your previous operating system, you’ll need to reinstall it from the recovery or installation media that came with your PC.
