Navigating in Windows by keyboard is second nature to me. I’ve been doing it since I’ve been using Windows. It’s just a lot more efficient for me to keep my hands on the keyboard after typing something when I need to navigate rather than picking my hand up to move the mouse.
5 Useful Keyboard Shortcuts
Here are my 5 most useful keyboard shortcuts for Windows that I use all the time.
- Winkey – Brings up the Start menu where I typically type what I need to access
- Winkey+Spacebar – Show Desktop preview
- Winkey+T – Cycle through taskbar items
- Winkey+Up Arrow or Down Arrow – Maximize or Minimize current window in focus
- Winkey+Left Arrow or Right Arrow – Tiles the window on the Left or Right side of the screen
