We decided to go to Benihana’s for some great hibachi grill before my surgery on Wednesday. This is similar to the Last Supper in a way. I’m having oral surgery this coming Wednesday and will not be able to eat solids for months afterward so this was a last minute “let’s just do it” move.
Got down to Pittsburgh around 7PM knowing we didn’t make reservations and also knowing it’s Saturday evening and expected a 1-2 hour wait. We actually got seated immediately so that was cool. Ended up having 2 spots for us at a table that had not been served yet. So this was a great start to the night!
I had the Scallop, Calamari and Shrimp entree and she had ordered the Surf & Turf (like usual). We’ve been to this location in Pittsburgh 3 times including tonight.
All-in-all it was a great night. The people we shared the table with were celebrating a friend’s birthday. It seems most of the people in there were celebrating a birthday. We constantly heard cheers and Happy Birthday in English and Japanese. At the end of our meal, we even got our picture taken and it was on the house. How cool is that?
