While configuring a handful of the Cisco WAP571 devices, using Single Point Config in a cluster, I have discovered that a VLAN configured on the Master does not propagate to the nodes. I am running the latest firmware revision at the time of this writing, 188.8.131.52.
I configure a VLAN on the Master, such as “2”, and then assign a Virtual Access Point that VLAN ID. The Master is saved, rebooted, and confirmed to remain there in configuration. When the configuration is deployed to the nodes in the cluster, I do not see VLAN “2” created. When looking at the Virtual Access Point, I see the VAP is created, and the VLAN drop-down box is empty; it does not have VLAN 1 even selected by default.
