5 Useful Keyboard Shortcuts for Windows 7

Navigating in Windows by keyboard is second nature to me. I’ve been doing it since I’ve been using Windows. It’s just a lot more efficient for me to keep my hands on the keyboard after typing something when I need to navigate rather than picking my hand up to move the mouse.

5 Useful Keyboard Shortcuts

Here are my 5 most useful keyboard shortcuts for Windows that I use all the time.

  1. Winkey - Brings up the Start menu where I typically type what I need to access
  2. Winkey+Spacebar - Show Desktop preview
  3. Winkey+T - Cycle through taskbar items
  4. Winkey+Up Arrow or Down Arrow - Maximize or Minimize current window in focus
  5. Winkey+Left Arrow or Right Arrow - Tiles the window on the Left or Right side of the screen
