width=90It is pretty simple to setup your domain to redirect to your Google+ profile.  For example, I have which redirects to my Google+ profile.  This is handy instead of having to link to your Google+ profile manually or using a third-party service.  Keeps everything in your control.  =)

If you are using Apache, modify your .htaccess file and include the following lines.

<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine On
Redirect /+

If you are using Nginx, modify your nginx.conf file and put the following line within your location {} stanza.

rewrite ^/+ permanent;

After installing Bind9 chrooted to /var/lib/named in accordance to this guide (link), Bind9 is failing to start due to the following error noted in /var/log/daemon.log

To resolve this, I found some search results hinting around the fact that OpenSSL libraries for 1.0.0 were the cause since chroot didn’t have access to them.  So to correct this, on my system, I used the following commands.

mkdir -p /var/lib/named/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu
cd /var/lib/named/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu
cp -R /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/openssl-1.0.0 .

After making those modifications, I then start Bind9.

/etc/init.d/bind9 start

Everything is working now.

We decided to go to Benihana’s for some great hibachi grill before my surgery on Wednesday.  This is similar to the Last Supper in a way.  I’m having oral surgery this coming Wednesday and will not be able to eat solids for months afterward so this was a last minute “let’s just do it” move.

Got down to Pittsburgh around 7PM knowing we didn’t make reservations and also knowing it’s Saturday evening and expected a 1-2 hour wait.  We actually got seated immediately so that was cool.  Ended up having 2 spots for us at a table that had not been served yet.  So this was a great start to the night!

I had the Scallop, Calamari and Shrimp entree and she had ordered the Surf & Turf (like usual).  We’ve been to this location in Pittsburgh 3 times including tonight.

All-in-all it was a great night.  The people we shared the table with were celebrating a friend’s birthday.  It seems most of the people in there were celebrating a birthday.  We constantly heard cheers and Happy Birthday in English and Japanese.  At the end of our meal, we even got our picture taken and it was on the house.  How cool is that?

I just do not have time for this… or do I?
